Polar bear and Grizzly bear?

Ok, the grizzly's: Which one is bigger, male or female? Polar bear: Are they bigger than grizzly's and who would win in a fight? P.S. all I see a polar bear attack is seals and walwrus' defenseless creatures. Tchaikov, I kinda thought that (grizzly's are big muthas) It said a grizzly shattered a bulls skull, and defeated a male lion just as easily, I like grizzly's lol.

  1. Males get much bigger. Polar bears are the biggest of all but some Alaskan brown bears are comparable. Polar bears would probably win because they are slightly larger and they are adapted to be pure predators.
  2. According to my information it is the grizzly bear that would win a fight. Though polar bears weigh more on average. A male polar bear weighs about 1,000 pounds. Quote: "The polar bear is a larger, but less robust creature than other bears. Compared to the grizzly, it has a thinner, longer and more delicate skull, along with narrower forequarters. This streamlining is an adaptation for an aquatic life style. The grizzly has a shorter, thicker neck, heavily built skull and more powerful shoulder structure. Despite being a good foot shorter, the grizzly has a trump card. Their claws, having evolved as digging tools, are also unmatched at opening body carcasses. Claws of 6" aren't uncommon (9" record) while the polar bear has small hook-like 2" claws. Sometimes, when the ice melts, polar bears have been known to be driven off by grizzlies, when they move south into the grizzlies feeding area."
  3. Polar bears are quite a bit larger. The town I go to every couple years in the arctic recently had to trap and relocate a problem bear. It was the biggest polar bear on record and weighed a little over 1700 pounds. I think a brown bear is probably a little more aggressive than polar bears, and would probably drive one off just with attitude.... if they absolutely had to fight, and were both comparable in size, I'd probably give the edge to a brown bear. Just for the record, a walrus is anything BUT defenseless!! And I'd love to see how you'd fare against a bull fur seal hand-to hand (or flipper in this case). They may look like big gooey balls of blubber, but remember they're descended from the same ancestors as modern bears, and they have the advantage of being in their own element.
  4. I think it should be Grizzly. They are robust, have larger head and strong forearms.
  5. male polar bears are the largest carnicores in North America. The polar bear would win
